How do I get an OpenAI API key?
Visit platform.openai.com/api-keys, create an account if needed, and generate a new API key. Paste it into the extension settings under the AI tab.
Is my data safe?
Your profile is stored in your browser, with Chrome's storage API. When you use AI features, your data goes straight to the AI provider you chose, never through us. JobPilot also collects usage analytics, such as which features you use. The privacy policy has the details.
The extension isn't detecting fields on a job site
Some job sites build their forms in their own way. Try refreshing the page. If it still doesn't work, report the issue with the job site's URL and we'll add support for it.
How much does the AI feature cost?
The free plan includes 3 AI cover letters and 10 AI field fills a month at no cost. Pro ($4.99 a month) gives you unlimited AI. You can also bring your own API key for unlimited AI on the free plan. A typical application costs less than $0.01.
Can I use it without AI?
Yes. Basic autofill (name, email, phone, work history and more) works without any AI. Fill in your profile and click "Fill All Fields".
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Open the extension popup, go to Settings and click "Manage Subscription". Cancel anytime, in one click. You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
